How to write quality content for your online business – Great tips!
Have you got an online business and just don’t have the time to write quality content?
Or perhaps you have the time yet you’re not getting enough people reading your posts?
As part of my online business, Power In Languages, I’ve done the research for you to help you get the most out of your online business!
Why is quality content important?
Content is important for your online business as it should interest your target audience, give useful information to them and give awareness about your business.
For your content to make an impact, it needs to be interesting, readable and make your reader think and take action.
If your content is full of errors, has misleading information or outdated information this will drive away readers and give your business a poor reputation. Definitely not a good look!
In order to thrive in your online business, you need updated, engaging content = quality content!
Visuals make that difference!
Using attractive imagery that goes with your content is a must! We live in a world where social media is packed with imagery and people are far more likely to read a post/content with an appealing image.
Add description to your image for your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) ranking. Many people search visually for content e.g. the use of Google images and then click onto the website from there.
Professional, interesting content
You must have fantastic content that goes with your imagery. This needs to be grammatically correct, accurate statistics if any, unique content (not plagiarized) and should be spaced out so it’s easier to read.
If you really just don’t have the time to write and rewrite content, I recommend this great company Hire A Writer.
They have expert writers who will write content for you! The amazing thing about this company is their starting prices are unbeatable, for example, you can get an article of 150-300 words written for $1.50!
They will write articles, social media content, e-book creation, poetry/lyrics and more!
Get feedback for existing posts
If you already have posts you’ve written, they’re not a waste of time… You can ask people you know for honest feedback on the grammar, content, use of engaging words.
Another way which is quicker is using Grammarly, you can copy and paste your content and it will provide you with an instant score and feedback.
Once you have your feedback, update your post and check back on the insights to see your improvements!
Do research
Doing research is very important for your online business to thrive and for your content to stay relevant.
I suggest researching these two main areas; the topic you are writing about and your competition.
Researching the topic you are going to write about is important to ensure your information is up to date, relevant and helpful.
You can also use tools like Jaaxy to quickly see how many other websites are using the key words (in your content title).
This is a vital part of your research as you want your content to get ranked in Google, Yahoo & Bing… not left behind.
Aim for lower competition of the key words you use in your title and research other examples with the key words to get a variety.
You can set up a Google alert to notify you of any information related to the area you are writing about.
Research your competition in your niche to gain insight to new ideas, how they lay out their content, have they got subscribers? etc.
Even if there are thousands of online businesses in your niche, remember that there is room for everyone!

Getting insight on your competition is a healthy way to see the areas you can improve on. Do you need to vamp up your company social media presence?
Do you need to post more frequently?
Is your content relevant/useful?
Join an expert community and get training & support
If you are thinking of having an online business as your main source of income, then I advise that you get training on developing your skills and knowledge of online businesses.
A great company I used to enhance my business skills was Wealthy Affiliate. Out of many other companies I researched and joined for trials, they were the best.
